May 19 - the last full day of the tour

We wake up early to enjoy our breakfast. Guy goes off for 20 minutes with one person who has to go pick up some of their goodies they had purchased earlier, while the rest of us get to spend some time enjoying our breakfast and coffee.

Once Guy gets back we have an appointment to rush off to,  another large bead factory to go watch how they press beads, do the cutting for beads, cleaning of the beads and then the oven for fire polishing.

Then off to one room where they have thousands of strands of beads already tied and up for sale. Rooms and rooms of it just waiting for us.

And if you even thought you were finished, nope, there are two very large rooms full of loose beads in bags, which you can purchase wholesale in bulk.

Everyone was happy here, with either small retail quantity purchases or larger wholesale purchases, both at a nice factory price much less than anything back home….. whether it be South Africa, Ghana or the U.S.

At the last antic shop we stopped at on Podhorski Street, final antique button purchases, and other sundry items. Some amazing deals were made.

A pair of peacock cuff links

                                                                   A peacock hatpin

Hatpins, beads, jewelry, silver and so much more!

And J-ME was hunting for special button cards.

Last stop is a small shop which had anything and everything made using the glass from this area.

Back at the hotel, last minute scramble as a painted vase supplier rushes in with several pieces she custom made for Brian, and a hand off to our shipper of everyones goodies to be shipped to their respective homes. Done.

Last dinner under our belt, J-Me and the girls with me driving went up to Hotel Petrin to watch the sun go down over Jablonec. The sunset looked to us like a flaming bead. What a wonderful way to end the evening!

The Wild Things Beads tour for May 2016 is now over.
                         nashledanou - see you later.
