One bizarre thing that happened while on the way… at a stop sign near the airport a race driver with his helmet on was waiting in his race car for the lights to change. Hmm? (he took the wrong exit?).
While Guy was gone, J-Me and Mom went to a new factory (to us) that produced hollow beads using antique machinery from over 120 years ago. It had just opened 1 year before and was very excited to meet us. They also made a few other styles of vases (which have to stay secret until their release in September).
After that, when Guy returned, we ate ice cream and cream puffs coated with chocolate, then went shopping for a suitcase for Mom who has too many items to carry back in her old suitcase. She found a lovely purple one!
Lunch today was at the Turkish Ibiss - yummy!
While sitting in our room sipping wine, we heard music coming from the old church below our hotel, and people dressed in period clothes milling around. We went to investigate and found a 1900's traditional Czech music ensemble playing Prague pub music and a barbecue roasting a pig on a spit.
Inside the old church (which has now been turned into the information center) was a jazz band playing 1900's music and people in period costume dancing.
We later had dinner at Paolo's Pizza Restaurant (really good food - better than the name implies) and then retired to bed, exhausted
