And now of course, breakfast….. Guy loves me taking photos of the food. It seems many people love seeing the food from all over the world. So here goes….
We continued driving through Poland after breakfast, leaving around 11:30am. (lazy morning - our bodies needed it).
There was nothing interesting until we arrived in Piechowice and the Julia Glassworks, where we stopped to buy some cut crystal glassware. Gorgeous stuff! Factory has been around since 1841.
Here are the old doors from the original building:

Here are photos of the flooring that they had decorated with some of the glassware. We walked all over it.
Showing a cruet similar to the one J-Me got for our house:
After loading up, we headed into Szklarska Porebo, a postcard beautiful town, where we drove around enjoying the views ………
until we found the hotel we wanted to stay in for the night. Because the tourist season hasn't kicked in yet it was almost empty, and got a triple room in a 150 year old remodeled mansion with breakfast for a song. (really low prices). Our room was on the 3rd floor with a private balcony overlooking the town and surrounding mountains and valley. WOW! Chandeliers in every room and in hallways, restaurant, lobby. We lucked out big time.
And then the small game room ( I can just imagine it as a library).
and then the outside garden…..
Found a little spa/ boutique hotel where we had dinner, then home to the hotel for late night scotch laced coffee. We watched the day turn to night with the lights twinkling on all over the town and chimney smoke drifting on the breeze.
In the morning we have our last Polish breakfast then cross over into Czech Republic.
I adore seeing your travel pictures thank you so much for sharing. And I love seeing how much Mom seems to be enjoying herself!
